Singing and Musicals
I love singing and Disney films. Starting from high school, I started to explore more about musicals, and also participated in some drama performing. From singing musicals in school musical club, making short drama films in English class, playing short drama in School Stage Play Contest, I learned how to unveil the complicate human feelings hidden in our normal everyday life, and to resonate diverse these emotions with audience as a performer.
As a member of school musical club, I sang in school singing events, noon concerts. I also participated in singing in summer program talent shows.
In Grade 10, I participated in the School Stage Play Competition. Our team chose to create a short stage play centered on the lack of curiosity among high school students in the classroom. Working as one of the scriptwriters and playing the lead character, I wanted to encourage high school students in China to bravely raise questions, stay curious in a campus setting. We won the 6th place (6/18) in this contest.

In order to improve my vocal and performing skills, I took part in a 8-day musical camp at Suzhou Bay Theater, and played the main character in the final performance, an adapted Lalaland Episode.
In Grade 11, I played the lead character Jennifer in an English-Language-and-Arts class mini-film project, featuring the tension between dream and money in the 1920s of United States. I also worked with my team members to write scripts, edit film. This class project meant a lot to me, because it witnessed an important moment when I played outside of my own personality, and I blended musical singing into this film. We also took a lot of efforts consulting with out-of-school bars for the background setting of the film.
In Grade 11, I also performed as the lead singer in a School Class Theme song competition, working my classmates on the stage blocking designs.
